Add oil and reduce the air chamber (raise the oil height) to stiffen. Remove oil and increase air chamber volume (lower the oil height) to soften up. If you start high and try to remove fluid you have to take the cap off each time, remove the spring and suck fluid out with a syringe and tubing. Even better is a fork oil level tool like this
Tweet. #2. 27-07-2006, 07:57 PM. Everyone will have an opinion, KTM reccomend Motorex. I use Mobil 1 Racing 4T which is a 15w-50 and change the oil about every 250-300km's with a filter change every 2nd oil change. Have used this oil since new on the 525 (11 months old, 4,000km) Hope this helps.
On this model CC capacity is 195ml oil SAE 5 not the height like Yamaha. For simprove rebound you can use thicker oil like SAE 7.5. Always start from manufacture adjustment and go for test (use the same route on track) If you finish just with few clicks before end or beginig of adjustement than something is not right. 1.
